A special thank you to those who have been my "kindred spirits".
I can look back over my life and see how God has placed certain women in my life to "sharpen me". They say if you can count on one hand those that you can name as special frineds that you are blessed. If that is the case, I have been blessed.
To name them all and descibe them would take too long. So, to my "kindred spirits" (and you know who you are), some going back many years and some just freshly picked, thank you for being my friend. I know you have been given to me by God to help mold me into the person I am today.
Now, enought of that mushy stuff!!
Did anyone see the Glenn Beck show last night? It was awesome! When it was over, I felt ready to go out and witness to the world. For those who didn't catch it, he had Tim Lahaye, Jerry Jenkins and Rosenberg on. The title of the show was "The End of Days". These men represented Christ and his coming back so well. I have always been so proud to be a Christian, but last night I felt like yelling from my rooftop.
Ladies, we need to get serious about telling others. I often use the excuse that I am just around Christians and that is my husband's job. This should not be the case. This is the "Bigger picture".
I think once we get a good look at it, it will affect those around us.

I love the mushy stuff! Yes, whereever we go God places those on our lives he knows will prepare us for the work He has for us in the future. Even some who end up hurting us. That's where we have to trust that God knows what He is doing. And that is really hard at the time. I hope that makes sense.
And as for the telling others. Sometimes I'm guilty of the "they don't deserve to know' attitude. I need to get over that and realize that it not my job to 'pick and choose who should come' as the song says.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Hi Deanna! I'm Charley's little sister, Charity. Just found out about your blog, and I'm loving this idea. "Encourage and exhort ladies who desire a deeper walk with Christ"--what a great theme for your blog. I'm right there with you in the desire to have a deeper walk. Enough of the mediocrity!! I'm done with superficial "christianity", aren't you?! It's so important for us to surround ourselves with others who will challenge us to go deeper, and I hope this blog will help us all do that for each other. Thanks for getting it going!
I love the blog! I'm at home for a few weeks until I go to China. This time of rejuvination has been encouraging.
I'm a huge fan of Glenn Beck's show. It's becoming a passion of mine to learn and defend the truth's of my belief during a growing age of Islam and opposing worldviews.
It is amazing to study these things. It's also important to integrate Psalms, or the like, with this type of study. It helps to focus on the praise of the here-and-now as well!
