The simple things

I don't know about you all, but sometimes I fail to enjoy the simple things in life because I focus on the drama.

My recent list of simple things:

1. Putting a puzzle together with my husband and kids

2. Going out for an ice cream cone and always knowing Jonathon won't finish it.

3. Staying up late watching a movie with my husband.

4. Grilling

5. Taking pictures

6. Sitting on the porch.

7. Seeing Jonathon try out his new skate board.

8 Running Erika all over town looking for those ridiculous" webkins".

9. Having dinner with family

10. Rootbeer floats from Sonic!!

I am fully convinced that God wants us to enjoy this life. I am thankful for a father that took a day off each week. I am very thankful for a husband that sees the need for making family memories.

This is the day which the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it!

Let me know some of your "simple things".

I know all too well that you may be in stage of life right now where things are hectic and stressful. Trust me, I know how it can be. NO! Don't trust me...TRUST HIM!!

My list of simple things:

1. Like you, putting together a big jigsaw puzzle.

2. Watching a good movie together as a family--one we all like.

3. Going out to Mike's shop and watching him work on projects.

4. Listening to Andrew playing his guitar.

5. Hearing either of the kids break into song somewhere in the house.

6. Having Sunday dinner together as a family on the Sundays Mike is off, because with our various work schedules we rarely eat together during the week any more.

7. Going out to eat on a "date."

8. Watching JEOPARDY together.

Be honest, Meredith ... you'd enjoy what not to wear just as much with or without me there :-)

I was trying to be sweet! But, now that you pushed me to it: watching "what not to wear" anytime is great, regardless of the company. :-)

1.Listening, just listening to my children and husband as they interact with life. I talk/tell too much.

2. Watching my family as they interact with life. I stay too busy doing things that miss out
( I need to take on the Mary factor and leave out the Martha factor)

3.painting nails with the girls when I say I will not 3 days later

4. stop&relax with my husband

5. develop my pictures !!!! & get them in an album

6.Kolby, sharing his candy with me even if it is his last & being thankful that I have a son who has a servants heart

7.watching Kolby practice without instructing

8.Simple, give the Lord my burdens and quit trying to fix them myself, something I should do anyway but never do until I am at my whits end

9. laugh,laugh,laugh more,more more
